Safer Internet Tips
Safer Internet Day is a awareness-raising campaign that started in Europe over a decade ago, and is now celebrated in more than 100 countries, including the U.S. This day gained official recognition in the states in late 2012, with a joint agreement between the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the European Commission to work together to build a better internet for youth. In 2013, the U.S. celebration received a big boost when Insafe appointed ConnectSafety.org as the U.S.’s coordinator going forward.
